Sand Casting the WIT Leopard

In groups of two or three, students will be given a match plate having three leopards to cast using the green sand casting equipment in our foundry. Each tree has three cats. If the pour is less than successful each student will be given a cat poured from a previous group. Grading Criteria: · Proper laboratory techniques and procedures used, with an emphasis on safety. · Prompt attendance to the lab activity. This pour takes every minute of the 2-hour time allotted, and students will need to begin on-time, and adhere to the complex instructions given. · Adequate lab clean-up.
